Happy 4th of July

At the Inlet Bay Marina we watched dinghy races.

We also got to see some boats that looked like planes.

We made homemade ice cream.

It was delicious!

We had a big breakfast with pancakes, eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy.

We got free ice cream from a booth. YUM!

The kids cooled off in the stream.

Mom and Dad took a selfie in front of the sunset on our way to the fireworks.

It was cool to look down on the town from the mountains.

We were all decked out

with glow sticks.

The fireworks show was delayed 40 minutes, due to an accident that needed to be air-lifted out of the mountains.

We watched the helicopter land and assumed the show wouldn't start until it took off again. We were lucky to sit by some locals that had fun facts about the history of the old

towns in the area.

Then once the life-flight took off, we sat down we got to see a beautiful

display of fireworks.

It was a different experience seeing the fireworks from above!

We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th of July!
